Popular Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino has admitted that he shot some of the scenes for Kill Bill series, by taking a cue from Kamal Haasan’s Aalavandhan.
In his interaction with ace Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, the Hollywood icon, who is popular for Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds, has admitted that he admired Kamal’s 2001 film Aalavandhan.
He said he used comics for his Kill Bill series for the most gruesome scenes, inspired by Aalavandhan.
Reacting to this, the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ said, ‘When I did the animation action sequence 12 years ago it was seen as self-indulgent and odd by a lot of people. Now that it has been endorsed by a filmmaker of such brilliance, critics will be kinder to some of the things I attempt in my films.’
