Celebrating success: NKPK team

Small and medium budget films should be encouraged by the exhibitors and theatre owners for the welfare of the Tamil film industry, says veteran producer Keyar.

Speaking at a function organised to celebrate the success of
Naduvula Konjam Pakkathai Kanom (NKPK), Keyar said, ‘Year 2012 witnessed the success of small films. Many fresh talent came to the limelight. Balaji Tharanitharan, who directed NKPK, is one of them’.

He said, ‘The movie was a hilarious entertainer. Thanks to Sathish Kumar of JSK Film Corporation, it reached the audience well’.

NKPK featured Vijay Sethupathy, Gayathree among others in the lead. Music was scored by Ved Shankar. Based on a real- life incident, it was about a youth who suffers short-term memory loss a day before his wedding.

Felicitating the cast and crew, actor – director R Partiban said the film is a laugh riot, and with just a one-line story, Balaji Tharanitharan has managed to cast his charm on screen. He has proved
his skills in his first film and he is sure to go places’.

Cinematographer – director K V Anand, who presented trophies to those involved in the making of the movie, said, ‘The film had an impact on youngsters. Everyone enjoyed it. The one-liners uttered by Vijay Sethupathy were catchy’.

He expressed confidence that Balaji Tharanitharan would continue to make such good films in future.

Vijay Sethupathy said he was delighted to be part of the project. ‘All of us worked hard and the success was the result,’ he added.

Actor Yuhi Sethu, producers T Shiva, Dhananjayan among others felicitated the NKPK crew on the occasion.
