The trailer of Rajnikanth’s Sivaji in 3D was launched in Chennai on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, director Shankar said the effort to convert Sivaji from 2D to 3D was phenomenal and thanked the makers for the same. Meanwhile, Guhan of AVM said there are 65 3D screens in Tamilnadu and 50 more will be converted to 3D to ensure Sivaji’s release on 12 December (Rajinikanth’s birthday).
Sivaji 3D will release in Tamil first. The Hindi and Telugu versions will have a stagerred release as there is no chance for any kind of piracy threat for a 3D film, he added, A couple of songs and a stunt sequence were also screened on the occasion.
Rajinikanth, who is out of town, addressed the gathering through an audio visual presentation. He said, ‘it is a visual marvel and a perfect gift for my fans by the producers’. Veteran lyricist Vairamuthu said, ‘Fans will celebrate Sivaji 3D for it brings Rajnikanth much closer to the audience. It is an amazing technology and awesome’.
On the occasion, Dolby Atmos, a high quality sound projection system was unveiled at Serene screen in Sathyam Cinemas.
