Vana Yuddham from 14 Feb

After the critically-acclaimed Kuppi that spoke about the last days of the assassins of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, filmmaker A M R Ramesh’s next Vana Yuddham is ready for release.

Known for his penchant to do movies inspired by events in real life, Ramesh’s Vana Yuddham is a bio-pic on forest brigand Veerappan, who was keeping both Tamilnadu and Karnataka government in tenterhooks untill a few years ago.

Says Ramesh, ‘I have been intrigued by Veerappan’s persona. I have been reading a lot about him, too. I took it as a challenge to do a film on Veerappan from the eyes of a journalist, without any biased view.’

‘The film will trace the 40 years of his life, and talk about his subsequent death in an encounter.
