The elections to Tamil Flm Producers Council (TFPC) slated for 29 January will witness a three-cornered contest. Apart from veteran producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, Kameela Nasser and actor Mansoor Alikhan are also in the fray.
Following a High Court order, the team led by Keyar, which was in charge of day-to-day activities, was disbanded and Justice A K Rajan, a retired judge of the Madras High Court was appointed as receiver to take charge and administer the council and maintain accounts.
The judge-receiver was also instructed to conduct fresh elections for the council as per the bye-laws of the Council by following principles of natural justice on 29 January.
No sooner the nod for filing nominations was accorded, Kalaipuli Thanu and Kameela Nassar made clear their intention to contest for the president of the council.
Meanwhile, actor-director Mansoor Alikhan filed his nomination today and joined the race.
