Priyamani is all smiles ever since she was signed to play the lead role in multilingual venture Charulatha, which will be made simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
Apparently for the first time in Indian cinema, the National Award winning actress is playing the role of conjoined twins, in this film to be directed by Pon Kumaran, a former associate to K Bhagyaraj and K S Ravikumar.
‘This is a great opportunity. I am doing home work for this challenging role,’ Priyamani says.
Inspired by 2007 Thai movie Alone, which had Thai-German pop singer Marsha Wattanapanich in lead role, Charulatha’s Tamil version will be produced by Global One Studios, Telugu version by Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts and Kannada version will be by Dwarakeesh.
