Prithviraj in all smiles

The good opening for Urumi that was released last week has brought smiles in the face of Prithviraj.

Addressing media persons in Chennai to share the joy of the movie’s success, Prithviraj, said, ‘When I was shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ravanan, Santosh SIvan was the cinematographer for the movie. We discussed a lot about Urumi then and soon we started the project. Santosh Sivan has proved that he is not just a brilliant cinematographer but also an acclaimed filmmaker’.

The role I played in Urumi demanded me to tone my physique and preparing myself for the role was difficult. But I managed to pull it off, he adds.

He said, ‘ the Tamil version has come good and appreciated by all. The credit should go to dialogue writer Sasikumar and my producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu’.

On his part Arya, who payed Prithvi’s father in the movie, said, ‘I shot for three days but dubbed for 20 days. It was dream desire to work in antosh Sivan’s venture and it became a reality’.
