Cinematographer Sukumar is a name to reckon with in Tamil cinema. His visual splendor in Mynaa, directed by Prabhu Solomon, fetched him name and fame. Expectations went high when the two teamed up together again for Kumki, a movie on a man’s love for his elephant set in a tough terrain.
Speaking about his work in Kumki, Sukumar, says, ‘working with an elephant is no easy task. I had to study a lot about pachyderms. It took sometime to get familiarise with the animal.’ Says Sukumar, ‘ I am happy that my hard work in Kumki is receiving accolades from all. That is the greatest pleasure’.
Kumki stars Vikram Prabhu, grandson of thespian Sivaji Ganesan and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles.
