It is a ‘small movie’ if one has to go by industry pundits. But Krishnaveni Panjalai, which hit the screens on Friday, has made a big impact, one has to say.
The film has won critical acclaim from the media and the box office response too is encouraging. ‘The director has come out with a honest attempt and he has given a quality product to the audience,’ many feel.
‘Recreating a bygone era on screen is no easy thing. Even minute mistakes can lead to trouble, as it is tough to escape from the eyes of the audience. Krishnaveni Panjalai emerges triumphant in shifting the audience to 1980s. Kudos go to director Dhanapal Padmanabhan,’ says a film analyst.
