After Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal, director Krishna is ready with his next titled Nedunchalai. The movie has Aari and Swetha in the lead roles. Says Aari, ‘compared to my earlier films Rettaichuzhi and Malai Pozhudin Mayakkathile, I have done a totally different one in Nedunchalai’.
‘While this is a rugged sort of role, it is also a highly emotional one; I thoroughly enjoy doing it. The first schedule is just over and I am yet to get out of the skin of the character. Krishna wanted a lot of spontaneity in the acting and hence, the scene would be explained to me only on the day of the shoot. I think that has helped bring out the best in me’, he says.
The story revolves around an incident that happened on a highway in 1985 and Krishna has researched for two years before launching this film. On his part, Krishna says the title is apt as the story happens on a national highway and dwelves into the lives of people who live on roadsides. The highlight of the movie is live music recording by Sathya for all the songs.
