Kamal Haasan on Tuesday presented a detailed picture on the Media and Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC) to be held in Chennai on October 16 and 17.
The annual event is organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Kamal is the chairman of the conclave.
‘The FICCI Entertainment Division works tirelessly and closely with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to bring in policy changes in various segments of the M&E industry,’ Kamal said.
He added: ‘The objective is to streamline the business environment for the maximum benefit to the industry stakeholders. The division also publishes various studies to reflect the current status of the industry, projects future growth paths and suggest measures to overcome various road blocks that exist.’
The event to be held on October 16 and 17 in Chennai will have various seminars and workshops.
MEBC 2012 will bring about focused sessions on Digitization for the broadcast industry, celebrate 100 years of cinema with stalwarts like Mohanlal, Dileep, Jayaram, Mamootty and Oscar-award winning producer of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Barrie Osborne.
The two days will also witness Keynotes from thought leaders and Creative Master Classes. Over 600 delegates including speakers, invitees, government officials, media, and diplomats are expected to attend the Conclave this year.
