K S Thangasamy made heads turn with his first movie Raattinam using new stars and new technicians. The director is back with his next film Ettuthikkum Madhayanai and is all set to hit the screens this weekend.
The movie stars Arya’s brother Sathya in the lead role. Sam Anderson plays the comedian. Sreemukhi is the heroine, while actor Laguparan in a cameo. Music is by Manu Ramesan.
Thangasamy, says, ‘ The movie is set in Thirunelveli. The high point of the movie is Sathya’s splendid performance especially towards the climax’.
Sathya is bundle of talent and if he works hard, he is certain to go places, says the filmmaker.
‘A realistic approach towards film making, Ettuthikkum Madhayanai has right commercial elements’, he adds. On Laguparan playing cameo, he says, ‘no doubt, he is my lucky charm. Also I wanted a up-and-coming hero to do the role. Laguparan agreed. His portions are vital in the movie’.
Sam Anderson’s comedy portions have come good, he adds.
On competing with biggies like Kaaki Sattai at the box office, he says, ‘I believe in the audience. They always encourage movies with good story. Ettuthikkum Madhayanai will make it big’.
