Much awaited full fledged 3D film – Kochadaiyan featuring our super star Rajinikanth in the lead is all set for 2013 Pongal release. Earlier it was stated that the film will be released on Thalaivar’s birthday, but now due to post production work, it is postponed. A source says that its going to be the first 3D film in Indian cinema using the same VFX snd graphics tech that was used in English film – Avatar!
Based upon the post production and final touch works, the team will update the status in the coming two weeks! Kochadaiyaan is an upcoming Tamil period film directed by Soundarya R. Ashwin and written by K. S. Ravikumar. The film will feature Rajinikanth alongside an ensemble cast, including R. Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nassar. The film, which is expected to be shot with motion capture in 3D, will have cinematography handled by Rajiv Menon whilst background score and soundtrack will be composed by A. R. Rahman. The film will be dubbed in Telugu as Vikrama Simha, and will also be released in Hindi,Malayalam, English, Japanese, French, Italian and Spanish.
