For the first time, maestro Ilayaraja will compose music for a dance event. Titled ‘Swapnam’, the programme will be staged in Chennai as part of the Margazhi season.
A brainchild of Bharatnatyam dancer Krithika Subramanian, the classical dance production will features dancers from all over India performing on stage.
“We are so happy that Ilayaraja sir came forward to score music for Swapnam. Apart from his music, it will also have pieces from Raja sir’s Thiruvasagam,” Krithika says.
Meanwhile on the film front, the ‘Isaignani’ is now busy with a string of movies, including his 100th film ‘Thaara Thappattai’, directed by Bala. Sasikumar and Varalakshmi play lead roles in it.
