Four Tamil movies have been selected for screening at the New York Indian Film Festival and two of them have Dhanush in the lead. They are Aadukalam, 3, Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai and Varnam.
While some say that Dhanush, along with his wife Aishwarya (who helmed 3) and Vetrimaran (the director for Aadukalam) will take part in the festival, there are others who say the National Award winning actor will not be able to turn up at the event, since he is busy shooting for his maiden Hindi venture Raanjana.
3 is a romantic psychological entertainer, while Aadukalam set in the backdrop of Madurai is about a youngster who emerges top in rooster fights. Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai directed by Suseenthiran is inspired by a novel by Bhaskar Sakthi, while Varnam directed by S M Raju had Monica in the lead.
