When it was believed that Boopathi Pandian, the director of Malaikottai and Thiruvilayadal Aarambam, would make a strong comeback with a Tamil-Telugu bilingual starring Gopichand and Nayanthara in the lead, the filmmaker has announced he is no more associated with the project.
‘There is too much interference (from the producers) to change the script to suit the image of Gopichand. At one point of time, I felt that my script is going out of my hand. So I opted out of the project,’ he says.
Boopathi Pandian has also informed that he has handed over the script to the producers and he would make a formal announcement on his next venture soon.
Titled Jagan Mohan IPS, the film was set to be made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Now that Boopathi Pandian has walked out of it, the producers have roped in a new director.
