Kamal Haasan has been receiving support from all quarters, following the ban on his film Vishwaroopam in Tamil Nadu. In fact, a plethora of Bollywood stars have extended their support to the actor. In the wake of the controversy surrounding actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan’s multi-lingual offering ” Vishwaroopam”, Bollywood celebrity Farhan Akhtar raised a question over the authority of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), while Abhishek Bachchan said viewers must be free to choose films they want to see. Kamal Haasan’s “Vishwaroopam” faced a ban from the Tamil Nadu government on Jan 25, after various Muslim organisations objected to certain content in the movie which allegedly shows the community in bad light. The matter went to the Madras High Court too. Bollywood star Salman Khan has requested Kamal’s and his to support the senior actor. The actor posted on his micro-blogging site, “Go stand outside the cinema hall and insist on seeing the movie…What law and order problem on a movie?” Rahul Bose, who plays a villain in Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam has extended his support to Kamal Haasan. The actor says that there is nothing objectionable in the movie and that it does deserve to be banned. Rahul Bose showed his support on the day the senior actor spoke about leaving Tamil Nadu if the ban on Vishwaroopam was not lifted. The Hindi version of the film is hitting the screens today. Others who came in support of Kamal Haasan included Karan Johar, Anupam Kher and director Reema Kagti.
