BOFTA launch today

BOFTA launch today Blue Ocean Film and Television Academy (BOFTA), a film school has been set up by producer G Dhananjayan in Kodambakkam for those wishing to learn the craft, will be launched today.

BOFTA will have eminent movie personalities on its faculty, and has begun inviting applications from potential candidates.

Basically in Kodambakkam which is also known as Kollywood has no film academy. Actually there is no complete academy in Chennai that teaches everything about media that relates to radio, journalism, cinematography, acting, photography. There is no single institution that gives everything, says producer G Dhananjayan.

Opening up an academy in Kodambakkam adds to the nostalgia as Tamil Cinema was initiated in Kodambakkam and gathered the fame as Kollywood, adds Dhananjayan.

He further added, As I go to various film schools as guest lecturer, the passion of the students towards film making made me think about opening up an academy that has everything. The students enthusiasm to learn from the masters made me keen on launching BOFTA.

BOFTA provides various opportunities and giving a practical approach to practicing professional film making amidst the professionals who are in the lime light in the film industry, says G Dhananjayan.
