Post the success of Rowdy Rathore, the actor who does his own stunts – Akshay Kumar has shifted his base to do remake of Tamil Movies. His limelight is now Thuppaki starring Thalapathy Vijay and Kajal Agarawal, directed by the ace Ghajini fame director Muragadoss. We already heard it before from the director that he is working on Hindi subject plus he has tweaked lil bit of the script to suit the Indian audience. The movie is about a protagonist who live in Mumbai and has a mission on his hand and its not a Cop story. Our director thinks Akshay will be apt for this role and would easily step into the role of Vijay. He stated that both of them are good actors with huge fan base in their own state as big stars. They can do justice to any kinda role given. It seems Akshay himself approached Murgadoss six months back while they all were shooting in Mumbai. He came up with an amazing storyline., thus he agreed to it.
Akshay also conditioned that Muragdoss only should direct the remake also. So the director is as of now concentrating the final wings up work on Thuppaki. Soon after the Diwali release, he will commence to Mumbai for the Hindi Version. The team has even planned to rope in a big B – Town heroine for the subject. Murugadoss made his debut in Hindi with Ghajini. After that he shifted back to Telugu and Tamil. Lately, he even turned down for doing the remake of Ramana in Hindi. When asked about this, the genius director said that ” I already made Ramana before Ghajini. Now I don;t want to reverse my clock, so now I am going to do the Thuppaki concept.” About Bollywood stars fascinating for south directors, he added that ‘ We are apt in making big budget, star- studded movies with strong subject and amazing story line, so I think this might be one of the reason” .
Well sir, we totally agree with you and all the best for both Thuppaki and its remake!
